This enterprise of the GEDEAM-Acqua Marcia Group is part of a restoration plan for a space surrounded by imposing structures of different ages and by the former Badoni factory. The project will restore the architectural continuity of the buildings and give the park a wider scope, creating a roof garden overlooking the lake.
The Badoni area is located between the historical centre of Lecco and the village of Castello and stretches along a hill divided in two by the Bovara-Matteotti road axis.

In the northern area, the project contemplates the replacement of some bastions belonging to the former Badoni factory with new lower buildings. This will redesign Via Palestro, which will benefit from the view of new green spaces. All the new buildings, in fact, are not very high, except for an 8-floor tower, the landmark of the area. Only a neo-Gothic building remains of the original Badoni factory, which will be used for shows.

In the southern sector, which is a narrow strip of land, the project contemplates the creation of a tree-lined promenade with a view over the Fiocchi park, which will connect the road above with the future Piazza Badoni. The project also involves the construction of a tower twin to that of the northern sector, to underline the project unity of the two complexes.
The structural details and external façade of the northern sector can also be found in the nearby residential buildings stretched down the hill.
For the lower buildings – public offices and the Auditorium – a different architectural style has been chosen to distinguish their non-residential use.
The area enclosed by these buildings forms the new Piazza Badoni.

At present, the residential structures have been completed and show an elegant, refined style. The neo-Gothic building restoration is under way; it will soon be brought back to its ancient splendour, becoming a point of reference for the whole area.
