Established in 1963, ATA owns the terminal of West Milan Linate and manages the Milan Linate private airport. The company has offered ground support and refuelling services complying with the highest quality standards since 1998, through the Det Norske Veritas Quality Certificate. ATA is the first and only Italian private airport to receive the ISO 9001-2000 quality certification for ground support and refuelling services and airport infrastructure management.
ATA Ali Trasporti Aerei is the company of the Acqua Pia Antica Marcia Group, which created and developed the aeronautical infrastructures available at Linate airport. This contributed to the growth of general aviation traffic in Milan, becoming the first FBO in Italy and the fourth in Europe, with 30000 flights and 61000 passengers every year.
Since 2008, ATA has operated in the sector of general aviation handling also at Ciampino airport, Rome.
